Imagini
So, this isn't anything for class, but I thought it was sort of relevant and wanted to post it somewhere people can see. Imagini is a way to find your VisualDNA. It's basically like a personality test, but with images. Here are my results: (except the Junkie Monkey couldn't be more opposite)

Oil and the Internet
The work of the website and program of OilStandard quite clearly fits into the article "Short History of the Internet" by Bruce Sterling. Sterling discusses the way that the internet is organized so that anyone and everyone can access space, post basically whatever they want, and allow for free and speedy file transfer. All of these aspects of the internet are utilized by this website and the program itself. Without the real time of the internet constantly sending and receiving information as it's happening, this program would be just short of meaningless. Yes, we might still be able to get the information, but perhaps not as quickly, therefore losing the real time aspect of the changing prices. Not only does this kind of technology hint that it was made so recently, but also the topic of choice. Of course, as politics and the economy are at the present time, they could stay this way for some time, perhaps creating a larger period of time that this topic would be relevant. However, there will probably be new technology to create a new program that would then hint at the later date in time.
